Letter: Be visible and viable

By Heidi Hansen, VANCOUVER
Published: October 24, 2017, 6:00am

I want to express a heartfelt thank you and a shout-out cheer of enthusiasm for the letter by Cindy Withrow, published on Sept. 30, “Treat mentally ill with respect.”

Withrow is so right on! What a breath of fresh air of reality. I support every word she wrote, and ask for more voices like Withrow’s. We need words of hard-earned wisdom and practical advice for issues on living with mental illness. These words make us visible and viable to others.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
