Fire destroyed a large motor home in Woodland Friday night.

Clark County Fire & Rescue responded to a fire on the 300 block of Pekin Road at about 10 p.m. Friday. Fire crews arrived to find a class A motor home — a large, bus-type recreational vehicle — on fire, said spokesman Tim Dawdy.

The motor home was the residence for a man and woman in their 40s and their dog. Everyone escaped, but the man received some minor burns that were treated at the scene, Dawdy said.

The American Red Cross Cascades Region also responded and provided assistance for the displaced family.

The couple was working on the motor home when the fire started, Dawdy said. The motor home was a complete loss. The fire is under investigation by the Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office, he said.
