Letter: Oregon, stop being greedy

By Stephen Rice, VANCOUVER
Published: September 14, 2017, 6:00am

A lot of Washington residents work in Oregon and they all have to pay income tax to Oregon, yet receive little to no services in return for that tax.

It is high time that Oregon earmark the taxes paid by residents of Washington to either pay for a new bridge or modify the existing Interstate 5 Bridge over the Columbia.

Oregon needs to stop being so greedy and use that money to benefit the people that are paying for it.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
