TOUTLE — A public sky and star party is planned for this weekend at Mount St. Helens.

The public will have the opportunity to hear stories from former NASA Astronaut Dottie Metcalf-Lindenburger, partake in astronomy crafts, have dinner and listen to live music, learn about volcanism in the solar system and look through telescopes at the night sky.

The event runs from 3 p.m. to midnight Saturday at the Science and Learning Center at Coldwater. A suggested donation of $10 is requested. It covers all events and the dinner. Overnight reservations are available for $30 per person.
