EVERETT — A driver fleeing a deputy in South Everett ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle, injuring two people.

KOMO-TV reports that a Snohomish County sheriff’s deputy tried to stop a car with no license plates about 2 a.m. Monday

The driver took off, but the deputy didn’t pursue him.

Officials say the suspect continued to drive recklessly, ran a traffic light and then crashed into another vehicle.

The two people inside were injured. One was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with possible internal injuries. The other was taken to Providence Hospital with broken bones.

The suspect fled on foot but was tracked down and captured nearby. He was taken to Providence Hospital for treatment of injuries as well.

The incident remains under investigation.
