WASHOUGAL — Portland-based manufacturer Columbia Forge has applied to build two warehouses, totaling 20,600 square feet at the Port of Camas-Washougal.

The company makes custom steel products for a wide swath of industries, including marine, rail and power companies. It’s not clear in the application what the warehouse would be used for. Owner Quantum Leap LLC could not be reached for comment.

Columbia Forge hopes to build the warehouse at the Steigerwald Commerce Center, at 3925 S. Lincoln St.

Port of Camas-Washougal Executive Director David Ripp said current tenant Next Machining Solutions shares the same owner as Columbia Forge.

The city of Washougal is taking comments on the project as part of the application process. Written comments can be submitted by 5 p.m. Oct. 4 to 1701 C St., Washougal, or by email to jessica.herceg@cityofwashougal.us.
