Deputies are calling the death of an 11-month-old boy who drowned in a bathtub Saturday a tragic accident.

Deputies with the Clark County Sheriff’s Office were called to a Brush Prairie residence at about 9 p.m. Saturday for a report of a drowning.

A father was watching the boy in the bathtub but fell asleep and the boy drowned, Sgt. Brent Waddell said.

Detectives with the agency’s Major Crimes Unit looked into the incident and completed their investigation with no arrests. No further investigation into the incident is expected, the sheriff’s office said.
