Washougal — All profits for Washougal’s fifth Oktoberfest will go to local nonprofits, including Columbia River Gorge relief efforts.

The two-day celebration will run from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Reflection Plaza, 1703 Main St., Washougal, with children welcome until 8 p.m. each day. Kids younger than 12 are admitted free and will receive a free hot dog and ice cream. Admission to the family festival and dance area for kids ages 12 to 20 and adults is $5 per person, and admission to the beer garden area is $13 and includes a commemorative mug and a beverage.

There is also a 15K Superhero Relay starting at 5 p.m. Saturday, where teams of three will compete in a course along the Dike Trail with prize money going to the fastest team. There is also a nonrelay 10K and superkids 1K run for kids 12 and younger. A costume contest for the best-dressed superhero team will be held at Oktoberfest Saturday night. The run benefits the Washougal High School cross country team, and registration can be found at www.superherorelay.com.
