Police nonprofit wins Collaboration Award

Esther Short — The Nonprofit Network of Southwest Washington honored the Police Activities League of Vancouver with the Collaboration Award at its awards ceremony earlier this month. The league is a nonprofit partnership between the Vancouver Police Department, Evergreen Public Schools and Vancouver Public Schools. The goal is to promote positive relationships between law enforcement officers and youth in the community through educational programs and recreational opportunities, such as sports leagues.
