OLYMPIA — Thurston County officials say a man was arrested for refusing to euthanize his paralyzed dog.
Thurston County Animal Control Officer Erika Johnson tells KCPQ-TVthat the dog had been hit by car last January. Officials found the dog with a broken back covered in fleas.
The dog was taken to a veterinarian who says the dog’s “foot and ankle had been degloved and the bone was exposed.”
The veterinarian also found that some of the dog’s toes had worn off from dragging herself across the ground.
