Letter: Trump provides minimal help

President Donald Trump has said he will go to Puerto Rico next week, having other things to do now, but that “we have sent them a lot of help already.”

I would like to know what that “help” was. Trump’s sightseeing visit will cost millions of dollars; if he really wants to help Puerto Rico he should stay in his magnificent “Florida White House” and play golf, a game he is good at. The money saved would help this devastated country recover the necessities that they so desperately need.

Trump uses every visit anywhere as an opportunity to enhance his political future. Maybe someone should tell him he’s wasting his time; Puerto Rico isn’t a state so the people can’t vote.
