Angst Gallery is seeking art for “Family Corvidae,” a celebration of nutcrackers, jackdaws, ravens, crows, jays, magpies, ground jays and treepies. Artists can submit three pieces at $5 per artist. Angst will receive art submissions only from 3 to 8 p.m. April 28 and May 1. The show runs May 4 through May 26. 360-553-1014

The Willamette Partnership seeks submissions for its “Honoring Our Rivers: A Student Anthology” art show. Student work in art, photography, poetry and writing, including works in foreign languages, are needed for the upcoming edition of the partnership’s publication. Entries should focus on the student’s connection to rivers or local watersheds. The submission deadline is April 22. The Society of Washington Artists is seeking submissions for its spring art show. Register online at www.societyofwashingtonartists.com, and then deliver your art to the Water Resources Education Center, 4600 S.E. Columbia Way, Vancouver, between noon and 5 p.m. April 24. Entries are open to all artists in the greater Portland and Southwest Washington areas. Must be 18 years and older. Registration closes when 200 pieces have been submitted.

The CAVE Art Gallery is seeking submissions for its art show “Pure Exquisite Sin,” a juried show that takes place in August. There is a $25 submission fee for up to three entries. The submission deadline for receipt of jpeg images is June 22. Notification of artist acceptance is June 30. The show runs Aug. 1 through 31. Clark College will hold auditions for all three of its choirs — Clark College Chorale, Women’s Choral Ensemble and the Concert Choir –April 9 through 13, by appointment only. Rehearsals begin the same week as auditions, and will be held in Beacock Music Hall at Clark College, 1933 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver. Concert dates are the week of June 11. Clark College Chorale rehearses from 6:30 to 8:50 p.m. on Wednesdays. The Women’s Choral Ensemble rehearses from 1 to 2:20 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Vancouver Community Concert Band seeks all brass, woodwind and percussion players, active and retired. All abilities welcome, no audition required. The volunteer community band, along with its polka band, Dixieland Jazz Band and chamber ensembles, performs regularly around the area.
