Letter: Give attention to environment

By Ward Upson, Vancouver
Published: April 17, 2018, 6:00am

Polar ice and glaciers are melting, causing rising sea levels. Climate change is real and caused by human activity. A huge mass of plastic and other filth is sullying the Pacific. We are certainly fouling our nest.

Do a big thing: Tell your state and federal representatives your environmental concerns. Do a little thing: Kick the plastic habit at the grocery store by using reusable bags.

Reduce, reuse, recycle.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
