Union High graduate Alexis Fuller now has her own spot in the Boise State track and field record book.

The junior ran the fastest 1,500 meters in school history Friday at the Bryan Clay Inviational at Azusa Pacific University in Southern California.

Fuller’s time of 4 minutes, 12.56 seconds was good for seventh place in a field that included Olympians Shelby Houlihan, Colleen Quigley and Kate Grace. Houlihan won the race in 4:06.07.

Fuller entered this season with a personal best of 4:25.45 in the 1,500. She was a member of the distance-medley relay that set a school record in winning the Mountain West Conference indoor title in February.

At Union, Fuller finished in the top three all of her four years at the state cross country championships.
