Letter: How much is too much?

By Toni Jacobson, Battle Ground

With so many good people in this world why does there have to be one bad apple to make us cringe in disbelief and have to worry that this person is going to do something so stupid that there will be no turning back and making things right again?

I have a granddaughter in China and she’s having a wonderful time; she teaches English to Chinese students and everyone gets along. It’s simple. Just be kind to one another and do something nice for someone who needs help. It breaks my heart to hear about people in the 1 percent who make so much money, and then the rest of us just try to get by with a smile on our faces, when we need opportunities like the “rich” people have. How much money is too much money?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
