The Free Clinic of Southwest Washington has reeled in $29,000 in grant funding.

The Clinic announced a $4,000 grant from the ESCO Foundation on Wednesday that will be used to care for uninsured patients living with diabetes, according to a press release. The Free Clinic will use funds from the grant to purchase insulin.

The Free Clinic also received $25,000 from the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington to support the clinic’s Specialty Care Program, which provides specialty care for low-income uninsured residents. Qualified patients can access donated specialty care, laboratory and hospital services.

The grant funds will be used to help support program costs for care coordinators, interpreters and medications, according to the press release.
