Well, my friends, the midterm primary is here. No matter the political persuasion, each of us is responsible for protecting ourselves and our democracy from outside meddling and social media frenzies. We the people need to select candidates who demonstrate common sense, understand the political system and can achieve consensus to resolve at least a few of the problems plaguing this country. Emotional, divisive rhetoric has no power against people who take the time to research the candidates and mark their ballots in a thoughtful, reasoned way. For the good of this country, please do your homework and then vote.
