If the Port of Vancouver wants a new vision statement (“Port looks to the future with new, improved vision statement,” Aug. 13, The Columbian), how about: We are an organization that operates within the law and doesn’t have to pay outlandish legal settlements (and attorney fees) and conducts itself as a business that doesn’t need to exist on a taxpayer subsidy.
