Letter: Put a hole in downtown food

By Julie Hategan, Camas

Working in downtown Vancouver certainly has its perks when it comes to food and coffee options. However, over the course of the last year, which I’ve spent working in Vancouver, I’ve made an alarming discovery — the downtown foodscape is missing one essential component: doughnuts!

Sure we could all head over to the nearby grocery store bakery, but wouldn’t “doughnut Fridays” and breakfast at the office be that much better if we downtown folks had a locally owned doughnut shop in the heart of downtown?

Foodpreneurs and entrepreneurs looking to make a positive and sweet impact in your community, please take note.
