Letter: U.S. should welcome the oppressed

In a Politico op-ed, David Glosser, the uncle of Steven Miller, one of the architects of President Trump’s immigration policy, describes his nephew as a hypocrite. Both are descended from Wolf-Leib Glosser, who, in 1903, fled persecution of Jews in what is present-day Belarus.

My own family history is that of immigrants seeking a better life in a new world.
