AUBURN — Authorities say a 3-year-old girl died in an apartment fire in Auburn.
A fire broke out in a top-floor unit of the Clearwater Ridge Apartments on Wednesday morning.
Firefighters say the girl, named Atalia, was found in a bedroom where the fire appears to have started.
Atalia’s father and two other children were also in the unit when the fire broke out, but they were able to escape unharmed.
A cause was not immediately determined, but firefighters tell KIRO-TV that it was suspicious.
Auburn is south of Seattle.
