The CAVE Art Gallery is seeking submissions for “Politiks: the Art of Deception,” an exhibition that runs Oct. 5-27. There is a $15 submission fee for up to two entries. All art that is submitted will be displayed. Art for submissions should be brought to 108 Evergreen Blvd., Vancouver, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 2. ArtattheCave.com

Second Story Gallery seeks artists to display their work in 2019. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Sept. 14. Applicants should submit digital photos of five works for jurying. There is a $30 nonrefundable application fee. Works will be displayed during monthlong openings from February 2019 through January 2020. 2018 Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge Photo Contest invites photographers of all ages to submit their favorite nature images taken within the boundaries of the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge. Camas Gallery needs artists to participate in its annual Plein Air Event on Sept. 7. At least 75 percent of the painting or drawing must be completed on site and outdoors to be considered “plein air.” Artists will work in downtown Camas from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on that day. Artwork will be shown outside the Camas Gallery that evening from 5 to 8 p.m. for the downtown First Friday event. The People’s Choice award will be given to the piece of art that garners the most votes from attendees. Artwork will then be auctioned off at the Dinner in White event on Sept. 8 at the Port of Camas-Washougal, and works will be on display at the Camas Gallery, 408 N.E. Friends of Vancouver Community Library seek artists to participate in the 3rd annual Art4Art fundraiser. Each artist will be given an 8-square-inch wood panel on which to create art. Completed panels are donated back to the library to be sold at the fundraiser, which starts Dec. 7. The panels can be picked up at Vancouver Community Library, 901 C St. Deadline for returning the panels is Nov. 15. Call the library at 360-906-5000 for more information.

Love Street Playhouse seeks actors to audition for “The Farndale Avenue Housing Estate Townswomen’s Guild Dramatic Society’s Production of A Christmas Carol.” Auditions will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 8 at Love Street Playhouse, 126 Loves Ave., Woodland.
