How will Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler vote on the tax bill: 1) repealing the individual mandate on the Affordable Care Act will weaken the program by starving the law into nonexistence; 2) exploring oil in the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge does nothing for meaningful long-term employment, it is another giveaway to the oil industry; 3) the estate tax has zero effect on you unless you are exceptionally rich; 4) the House bill lowers the cap on the mortgage interest deduction, which was one of the few tax benefits to the middle class; 5) the House bill has a lower top rate for taxable income than the Senate, which helps the wealthy, not many of you nor I. This is likely to be decided by Dec. 5.
