Letter: Kudos to Bush family

What a privilege we have been given to be able to observe the various memorial services celebrating the life and work of President George H.W. Bush. The Bush family graciously allowed the American public — in fact the whole world — to participate with them through nearly a week of remembrances. There was such an air of both graciousness and joy, affection and encouragement. To allow such public participation of such intimate and emotional events was a real gift that apparently reflects the love and respect of the Bush family.

I personally think the Bush family abundantly represents the “royal designation” that was previously attributed to the Kennedy clan.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
