Barberton — The Vancouver St. Vincent de Paul Society Conference provided 360 local families with Thanksgiving food boxes filled with a turkey dinner and all the trimmings. The event was made possible by a group of financial donors, and Grocery Outlet on Northeast Fourth Plain Road, which provides turkeys, pies and nonperishable items at discounted prices. Pacific Coast Fruit Company provided fresh produce, Ethan Buckmier with Darigold donated milk and the Clark County Food Bank donated all the potatoes. Sixth-graders from St. Joseph Catholic School helped pack the 360 boxes in preparation for distribution.
