Girls basketball: Grants Pass (Ore.) 66, Mountain View 18

The Thunder trailed 21-3 after the first quarter and dropped their opening game at the Nike Interstate Shootout in Lake Oswego, Ore.

Lauren Copp scored six points for Mountain View (3-6), which faces Milwaukie (Ore.) at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

“I think the girls enjoyed the setting,” Mountain View coach Dave McIntosh said. “It’s pretty new to them. Hopefully they’ll be more prepared to play tomorrow.”
