Boys basketball: Hood River Valley (Ore.) 64, Hudson’s Bay 61

Eli Hoover scored 33 points but the Eagles fell short in a non-league game on the road.

With the game tied, Hood River Valley rebounded a missed free throw and converted a conventional three-point play with eight seconds left.

Hoover scored 22 points in the second half and had 17 rebounds. Trent Palen added 11 points for the Eagles (1-8).
