Council for the Homeless has issued a severe weather alert that runs Sunday night through Monday night.

The alert prompts emergency shelters in Clark County to expand capacity and other locations, namely Living Hope Church and the Washougal Community Center, to open as overnight shelters if possible. The Vancouver Navigation Center is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily at 2018 Grand Blvd.

The National Weather Service predicts a nighttime low of 34 degrees Sunday and 32 degrees Monday.

Those seeking shelter should call the Housing Solutions Center at 360-695-9677. Call 211 for Portland warming centers.
