Letter: Consider McKibben for council

By Christopher Gudger-Raines, Ridgefield

I am pleased to see Carmen McKibben vying for a position on the Vancouver City Council. I got to know McKibben through Leadership Clark County. She was effective in helping our LCC class understand the challenges facing ethnic minorities here. There is a great need for diverse voices in our leadership. McKibben’s work with League of United Latin American Citizens’ youth council means she will also help the city understand the lives of young people in Vancouver.

I encourage the council to give McKibben more than a token consideration.
