The Port of Vancouver has scheduled a series of tours this year for anyone interested in learning about the state’s third-oldest port.

The tours are free and showcase many of the industries that occupy the port while also offering a glimpse of the maritime industry and global marketplace. Guests may see large ships berthed along the waterfront, cargo handled at the docks and more.

Tours begin at the administrative building at 3103 N.W. Lower River Road, Vancouver. Government-issued photo ID is required. Cameras are prohibited.

Reservations are required. To reserve a spot, call the port at 360-693-3611 or email RSVP@portvanusa.com far in advance with a selected tour date.

The 2018 tour dates and times are: 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 22, May 24 and July 26; 5:30 to 7 p.m. April 11, June 6 and July 11; 10 to 11:30 a.m. May 8, June 30 and Aug. 18.
