Two fishermen called 911 this morning after discovering a body in the East Fork Lewis River in north Clark County.

The body was found just after 9 a.m. about three-quarters of a mile away from Daybreak Park, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office. Marine Patrol and detectives with the Major Crimes Unit recovered the remains, determined to be male.

The body had been in the water for a while and couldn’t be identified. The Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the body and the determine the cause of death.

Earlier this week a man who was missing from his trailer park, Stephen Glen Orley, 69, was found dead in the Lewis River in Cowlitz County. Deputies did not suspect foul play in that case.
