PORTLAND — Authorities are trying to recover a Portland Timbers championship ring that was reported stolen last week.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday that the victim, Maurice Amar, believes the ring was taken between mid-December and mid-January.

The ring is silver in color and has “MLS 2015 Champions” and the Timbers logo on the front. One side has the word “Amar” on it and the other side reads “Portland Timbers.” The ring is valued at $2,000.

Amar worked in an off-the-field capacity for the Timbers.
