EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — An advisory board is recommending raising tuition by nearly 3 percent for in-state undergraduate students at the University of Oregon for the next school year.

The Register-Guard reports the university’s Tuition and Fee Advisory Board is also recommending a nearly 2.5 percent tuition increase for out-of-state undergraduate students.

Under the board’s proposal made this month, a full-time student from Oregon would have $9,765 in tuition. A full-time student not from Oregon would pay $33,345 in tuition. Each student would also pay nearly $3,000 for fees.

The university’s board of trustees will decide in March whether to approve the recommendations.
