Letter: Battle Ground voters send message

By Brad Thomason, Battle Ground

Current Battle Ground Public Schools Superintendent Mark Ross said, “We’re disappointed” when the $224.9 million school bond failed (“Battle Ground schools appear to again fail to pass bond measure,” Feb. 14, The Columbian). Of course he’s disappointed.

Former Superintendent Shonny Bria was paid $401,715 to go away. Before her, Superintendent Leo Beck was paid about $210,000 to go away. Where, oh, where will the money come from to pay Ross to go away?

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
