Battle Ground — The Battle Ground Harvest Nights Car Cruise committee used funds from the July event to donate to two local organizations. The committee donated $2,000 to both the North County Food Bank and Rocksolid Community Teen Center. The surprise check presentation was made during the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce Holiday Luncheon in early December. The committee formed in 2012 and has held a car cruise the Friday night of Harvest Days weekend each year, and chooses local nonprofits as beneficiaries of the event. To volunteer for the cruise in 2018, contact the Battle Ground Chamber at 360-687-1510.
