Battle Ground police are investigating a Wednesday morning stabbing at a home off North Parkway Avenue.

Officers responded to a call about the stabbing at 12:47 a.m. at a residence in the 1200 block of North Parkway Avenue, according to the city of Battle Ground.

A family member, who police said was a minor, told officers her brother stabbed her father.

The officers entered the home and found Christian Dixon, 42, with stab wounds.

Colin Dixon, 21, the victim’s son, was detained, police said.

Battle Ground officials said later Thursday that Colin Dixon stands accused of stabbing his father as well as his sister. He’s also accused of assaulting his mother, Shawna Dixon, with a knife.

Colin Dixon has been jailed on suspicion of domestic violence-related charges of first- and second-degree assault.

All three injured family members were taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. A spokesman said Thursday that Christian Dixon was in serious condition; Shawna Dixon was treated and released. No information was available on the sister.
