Letter: Learn about Battle Ground bond

By Sue Cranke, Battle Ground
Published: January 26, 2018, 6:00am

On Feb. 13, Battle Ground Public Schools is running a construction bond measure. Some of us will vote yes while others choose to vote no. I direct this to the undecided voters.

If the bond passes, Glenwood/Laurin and Pleasant Valley campuses will be demolished and rebuilt. A new K-8 campus to accommodate overcrowding issues will be built. Prairie and Amboy will benefit with renovations. All schools will see improvements to safety/security and technology modernization.

Research the details at www.battlegroundps.org/bond. Better yet, make an appointment at one of the schools and learn firsthand the issues our students/staff face daily.

Please vote “yes.”

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
