Ridgefield — The Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation raised more than $12,000 in its first ever Turkey Trot on Nov. 23. The foundation recently donated $5,000 from the event to the Family Resource Center since the event exceed fundraisers’ expectations. More than 300 participants competed in the 5K/10K race, which also collected food donations for the resource center. The Family Resource Center, on Ridgefield School District property, provides students and their families with food, clothing and other necessities.
