I’m in Hazel Dell, and county sheriff deputies are the only police we have. I tried to call the sheriff’s office, hoping to ask about the pitifully inadequate rules limiting fireworks in Clark County, as some neighbors were blowing up the largest possible fireworks four days before July 4. A recording said “our offices are now closed.”
