Layman leads Blazers to second win at Vegas Summer League

Jake Layman scored 23 points, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, and John Jenkins and Anfernee Simons added 12 points each for the Portland Trail Blazers (2-0) as they defeated the Atlanta Hawks 85-68 on Sunday at the NBA Las Vegas Summer League.

John Collins had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Hawks (0-2), who were 4 of 28 from 3-point range.

No. 5 pick Trae Young was scoreless in nine minutes before leaving the game with a quad contusion. The injury is not considered to be serious.

Portland’s next game is 1 p.m. Tuesday against San Antonio.
