YWCA Clark County’s Women’s Leadership Center is holding a series of workshops this fall. The workshops held at the leadership center in Vancouver are intended for women to “develop leadership skills essential for success, self confidence and self worth,” the nonprofit said in a news release.

Upcoming workshops:

• Empowering women in creating a culture of consent (6 to 8 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Aug. 6 to 15).

• Strengthening women’s voices in the workplace (3 to 6 p.m. Sept. 14).

• A connection circle for women over 50 (6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 19 to Nov. 14).

• How to effectively engage in the democratic process (6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 2).

• How to make informed decisions and achieve financial independence (5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays, Oct. 22 to Nov. 5).

• Building resilience (6 to 7 p.m. Nov. 13).

Those leading the workshops include Jennifer Rhoads, president of the Community Foundation for Southwest Washington; Vancouver’s Chief Criminal Prosecutor Camara Banfield; and Jane Cote and Clare Latham of Washington State University Vancouver’s Carson School of Business.

YWCA noted that while an unprecedented number of women were elected to public office last year, “much work still needs to be made to achieve parity in leadership positions in both the public and private sectors.” To learn more about the workshop series, visit ywcaclarkcounty.org/wlc
