Tibbits places 16th at Oregon Stroke Play

Spencer Tibbits of Vancouver shot a 78 in the final round of the Oregon Men’s Stroke Play Championship to finish in 16th place overall.

Tibbits, who started the tournament with rounds of 68 and 75, struggled on Sunday and finished 5-over par for the tournament with a 54-hole score of 221. He was the highest local finisher.

Braeden Campbell of Washougal was tied for 20th at 223, along with Jake O’Neal of Vancouver.

Kyosuke Hará of Honolulu beat Philip Bagdade of Portland in a four-hole playoff to take the title at Arrowhead Golf Club in Molalla.
