Govtrack.us, a neutral facts-based scorecard, reported that Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler ranked at the 13th percentile of the 435 House of Representatives in introducing bills and resolutions. After seven years in office, she held no leadership position on any committee. Of the six bills she sponsored, two became law: breastfeeding equipment and continuing management of crab fishing. On a measure of ability to collaborate by co-sponsoring and bipartisan support on bills, she had the second-lowest score of Washington legislators. In 2016, she missed 57.7 percent of votes and between April and June, 80.4 percent of votes. We need action, not words.
