By now the pattern should be obvious. The president, who is the obfuscator in chief, wants us to direct our attention to the people who are investigating him and question their motivation. We are to wonder why the FBI would plant a spy in his campaign.
Even if that term were true — which it’s not — the FBI did begin an investigation into Russian influence in the presidential election process, which included looking at his campaign. After something like 19 indictments and/or guilty pleas, don’t you think they had reason for doing so? Now do you know why we wanted to see his tax returns? So we could find out how much influence the Russian oligarchs had/have on him?
Don’t let this con approach distract you from real substance by waving something shiny in your face.
