The city of Vancouver will close the intersection of Southeast 192nd Avenue and Southeast 34th Street today and Saturday for repaving.

The closures begin at 8 p.m. and end at 8 a.m.

When paving is ongoing, southbound Southeast 192nd Avenue will be closed at Southeast 20th Street. Local-only access to Southeast 25th Street will be managed by flaggers.

Lanes heading north on Southeast 192nd Avenue will stay open for drivers coming from state Highway 14, but lane changes and flaggers should be expected.

Finally, Southeast 34th Street will be closed at Southeast 189th Avenue and Southeast 196th Avenue.

Drivers are encouraged to consider taking an alternate route during paving hours if possible and to slow down in the construction zones.

The work is weather-dependent, meaning if it rains, paving will be rescheduled.
