Battle Ground — American Association of University Women representatives were on hand May 11 at Firm Foundation Christian School to honor sophomores Beth Merritt and Chloe Neet with Scholar Recognitions. The students were nominated by their teachers for achievement in math and science. Chloe hopes to pursue aeronautical engineering as a future career. Beth is the school’s Associated Student Body treasurer and is currently on the track team. The association’s Hudson’s Bay branch has awarded female sophomores or juniors from local high schools with Scholar Recognition for the last 19 years.
