Clark County native Kara Winger placed fifth in the women’s javelin at the Bislett Games on Thursday in Oslo, part of the Diamond League schedule.

Her best throw was 60.79 meters (199 feet).

The winning mark was 67.47 meters by Tatsiana Khaladovich of Belarus on her final throw. It was her personal best.

Winger posted on her Instagram account that she is now headed back to the United States to prepare for the U.S. Championships later this month.

“I’m happy with the components I have working in my throw, I just haven’t matched them up yet, and I was a bit tentative this evening,” she posted.
