The Historic Trust is seeking 100 volunteers to help at one of Vancouver’s signature summer events, the Fireworks Spectacular at Fort Vancouver on July 4.

Last year’s event drew more than 35,000 people.

Individuals as well as service organizations, businesses and other groups can participate. Volunteer roles include helping at the gates, checking in volunteers, working at the first aid station and staffing the lost child booth.

Information and an online application is at www.thehistorictrust.org/vancouvers-fireworks-spectacular-volunteer.

Volunteers may request jobs and shifts, although organizers may not be able to accommodate all requests. Contact The Historic Trust at 360-992-1800 or email volunteer@thehistorictrust.org.

Volunteer shifts are just a few hours long; there will be a short training session prior to July 4, according to a news release.

Volunteers receive a Vancouver’s Fireworks Spectacular T-shirt, volunteer parking pass, and snacks and water at the event.
