Volunteer Connections provides opportunities through the Human Services Council.

For information on the following and other opportunities, call 360-735-3690.

• Clark County Sheriff’s Office — Neighbors on Watch Program is always accepting applications from citizens who want to help keep their neighborhoods safe. Volunteers receive training to serve in walking and driving patrols, in teams of two, to observe and report. Volunteers also help with events at the sheriff’s office and in the community.

• Clark County Veterans’ Assistance Center is looking for volunteers to greet veterans, direct them to resources, set appointments, make coffee and set out light refreshments, answer phones, and thank veterans for their service.

• FISH of Vancouver seeks volunteers to help in the downtown food bank’s clothing room, pantry, and at the desk. Shift coordinators are also needed.

• PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center seeks volunteers to help in the gift shop, where sales support the Share House, and at the medical center’s main reception desk.
