Letter: Need to get a clue in D.C.

Could not pass up the chance to highlight the levity in The Columbian (“Actress Dash files for congressional seat,” Feb. 27):

“Stacy Dash, the actress turned conservative political commentator, has filed paperwork to run for a congressional seat in Southern California.”

“Documents submitted Monday to the Federal Election Commission show the ‘Clueless’ star intends to run as a Republican in California’s 44th District.”

I bet Stacey Dash’s campaign handlers wish she had starred in a movie with a different title. Others might say we already have too many “clueless stars” in Washington, D.C.

We encourage readers to express their views about public issues. Letters to the editor are subject to editing for brevity and clarity. Limit letters to 200 words (100 words if endorsing or opposing a political candidate or ballot measure) and allow 30 days between submissions. Send Us a Letter
